Smoke Management

Annual Program Evaluation Announcement: The WDEQ-AQD is required to conduct an Annual Program Evaluation to assess the adequacy of the design, impact and implementation of Wyoming's Smoke Management Program.  The Evaluation covers the program implementation during calendar year 2017.  The meeting will be held on February 20, 2018 in Room 313 (third floor) of the DEQ offices located at 200 West 17th Street, Cheyenne, WY, proceeding from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.   Attendees will have the opportunity to seek feedback on program implementation from WAQSR Chapter 10, Section 4 burners.  For more information about attending this meeting, please email smoke.management@wyo.gov

The Smoke Management Program regulates large-scale vegetative burning for the management of air quality emissions and impacts from smoke on public health and visibility. Most homeowners and small-scale burning projects fall under the regulations for the Open Burning Program.
