Boswell Springs Project
On August 23, 2017, Boswell Wind, LLC (Applicant) filed an Application with the Industrial Siting Council (ISC) for a permit to construct and operate the Boswell Springs Wind Project in Albany County, Wyoming. The Applicant proposes to construct a wind energy generation facility to produce up to 400 megawatts of energy. The project components include up to 170 turbines, an underground 34.5 kilovolt (kV) collection system, four 34.5/230 kV collection system linking the substations, a network of access roads, three meteorological towers, a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system, and an Operations and Maintenance building. The facility would be located on approximately 21,596 acres of private land in Albany County, 10 miles north of Rock River, and 15 miles east of Medicine Bow. Construction is anticipated to commence in May 2018 and continue through November 2020. Construction manpower is anticipated to peak in 236 workers in August 2020. The hearing regarding this application is scheduled for November 20, 2017.
