eDMR and Envite Training

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently promulgated a final rule to modernize Clean Water Act reporting for municipalities, industries, and other facilities by converting to an electronic data reporting system. This final rule will require regulated entities and state and federal regulators to use existing, available information technology to electronically report data required by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program instead of filing written paper reports.

In order to address the requirements of the e-reporting role, the WDEQ will be working to alert, spread awareness, and educate the WYPDES permittees about the eDMR application. eDMR 3.0 is the latest version of the eDMR application and released in the fall of 2015. It was developed to make the online application more user friendly by expanding the range of internet browsers in which the system is compatible with, along with adding a few other features to make data input more convenient for users.

The WYPDES compliance team will be providing free training throughout the state in the late summer and fall of 2016. The training sessions will teach attendees on how to correctly sign up, access, and enter data using the new eDMR 3.0 application. The training will consist of two parts: a section that will provide step by step instructions on how to sign up and access the eDMR application and how to correctly use the eDMR application, and a section that will provide hands on assistance for any attendees who wish to start the sign up process that day.
