Compliance

The Storage Tank Program (STP) Compliance team performs on-site storage tank inspections to ensure STP-regulated tanks are installed and operated in accordance with rules and regulations.  Violations are discussed with owners and operators, and the STP attempts to bring the facility into compliance without the need for formal enforcement action. 

When necessary, violations are referred to the Attorney General’s Office.

The STP Compliance team conducts outreach training for owners, operators, installers, and testers.  The STP provides information to tank owners to assist them in understanding the requirements and regulations related to STP-regulated storage tanks.

Welcome to DEQ's new e-payment processor.  For your convenience please consider paying with a credit card.  When choosing from below, the Single item would be for items such as records requests, or permit application fees.  The multiple items are for paying for several items located at sites such as Storage Tank fees.
 
There is a service charge for online convenience.   The pricing schedule is as follows:
 
  • Less than $60 is a flat $2.00 service charge.
  • Greater than $61 to $5,000 is at 3.5%
  • Greater than $5,000 is at 5%
  • American express is 3.5% plus $2.00 service charge.

Storage Tank Operator Outreach

The DEQ STP will be hosting an outreach session for storage tank operators.
The outreach session will be held:

If you wish to attend, please submit your name, address, email address, and phone number to deq.stp@wyo.gov or contact Karen O’Dell at (307)777-7619. This session will be limited to 50 participants and may be canceled due to lack of participants and/or weather.

This session is to assist, new and existing, storage tank operators with becoming more familiar with day to day operation of storage tank equipment, Rules and Regulations, and the Storage Tank Act of 2007.
